Who are these masked men and what are they all about? Los Straitjackets is an instrumental rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1988. Originally comprised of guitarists Danny Amis, (formerly of Rabbets) Eddie Angel, and drummer L. J. "Jimmy" Lester under the name The Straitjackets, the band split up soon after forming. They later reunited as Los Straitjackets in 1994 with the addition of bassist E. Scott Esbeck. Esbeck left the band in 1998 and was replaced by Pete Curry. The current lineup also features Greg Townson on guitar and Chris Sprague on drums.

This band really is a great LIVE ACT and a MUST-SEE show. Most of the Wonder Weird officemates have seen Los Straitjackets many times and every show did not disappoint. Sometimes they have dancers, sometimes they have singers, but every show is a fun surf dance party that gets the whole audience moving and grooving.
